A lifelong resident of the Central Missouri area, Carolyn was a 1947 graduate of Jefferson City High School, received her Bachelors degree in speech pathology from Lincoln University in 1971 and her Masters degree from Central Missouri State University in 1975.

She was employed with the Jefferson City Public Schools as a speech and language therapist from 1971 until 1989.

Carolyn’s love of Jefferson City was apparent by all the ways she gave back to the community. She was a woman of strong faith and was very involved with First Presbyterian Church as a Deacon and an Elder. She even helped make calls to retired teachers to encourage them to vote for the new public high school.

Carolyn and her husband, Alan, enjoyed traveling, especially to Fort Walton, Florida. She also played golf and tennis. However, she would be the first to tell you her favorite place was being in New Hampshire near her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include: her daughter Kathleen Loveless and her husband, Dr. Gordon Loveless, of Bedford, New Hampshire; a granddaughter, Dr. Amy Loveless Imam, and her husband, Dr. Patrick Imam; a grandson, Benjamin Alan Loveless; and two great-granddaughters, Samantha Imam and Katherine Imam.
