Obituary for Rhadell "Rha" Krummen

Rhadell "Rha"  Krummen
Mrs. Rhadell P. “Rha” Krummen, age 94 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017.

She was born on May 11, 1923 in Jefferson City, Mo. the daughter of Benjamin H. and Mary (Weith) Diedel. She was married on November 6, 1948 in Schubert, Mo. to Omer A. Krummen who preceded her in death on November 10, 2016.

A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Rha was a 1941 graduate of Jefferson City High School.

She was employed as the Deputy Recorder of Deeds with the Cole County Recorder’s Office for 41 years prior to her retirement in 1985. She was blessed with a long career because of her work ethic, attention to detail, and pleasant personality. During her employment with the Recorder’s Office, she manually recorded all records and was noted for her beautiful handwriting which is still on record today. Rha strived to please anyone that came into contact with the Recorder’s Office and did it with a smile. She never knew a stranger and could make anyone feel comfortable.

Rha was a lifelong and faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Schubert where she served on the Alter Guild and was the church archivist. She and Omer where proud to be part of the Schubert community and lived on their family farm since 1952.

Rha will be remembered for her friendly sense of humor, quick wit, and positive outlook on life.

Survivors include: one sister, Rose Schroeder of Jefferson City, Mo.; two sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Wekenborg of Linn, Mo. and Lucille Krummen of Jefferson City, Mo.; one brother-in-law, Ralph Krummen and his wife Peggy of Minneapolis, Kansas; numerous nieces and nephews, including Roger Schroeder and his wife Carolyn of Jefferson City, Mo and Gary Schroeder of Richmond, Mo.; and numerous great-nieces, great -nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ben Diedel.

Visitation will be at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Schubert, Mo. from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 21, 2017.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 21, 2017 at St. John’s Lutheran Church with the Reverend Gerald Scheperle officiating. Interment will be in St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. John's Lutheran Church, 4409 St Johns Rd, Jefferson City, Mo. 65101.
