Obituary for Aimee Joslin

Aimee  Joslin
Aimee Dawn Joslin, age 36 years, of Tuscumbia, Mo., passed away Thursday evening, March 9, 2017 at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

Aimee was born August 15, 1980 in Jefferson City, Mo. the daughter of Crystal Farrington and Scott Joslin.

A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Aimee has lived on her farm near Tuscumbia since 1997 where she loved the outdoors and her horses. She had an extremely caring heart and loved to rescue all animals. She worked with the Eldon Animal Shelter to dramatically reduce the number of euthanized animals and develop an animal adoption plan.

Aimee’s independent spirit and passion for music helped her start her own DJ company called “DJ Aimee J.”

Aimee absolutely adored her family and cherished time traveling on cruises in the Caribbean with them. Aimee and Mom were baptized together on a beach in the Bahamas.

Survivors include: her mother and step-father, Crystal and Keith Cooper of Lake Ozark, Mo.; her father, Scott Joslin of Spring, Texas; two brothers, Derrick Willibrand of Tuscumbia, Mo. and Aaron Willibrand and his wife Kori of Tuscumbia, Mo.; a step-brother, Devin Cooper and his wife Jessika of Arlington, Virginia; a half-sister, Melissa Joslin of College Station, Texas; her maternal grandmother, Dorothy Mudd of Jefferson City, Mo.; one nephew, Tanner Willibrand; one niece, Maya Morgan; and her four pawed best friend, Sugar.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Garland Farrington and her paternal grandparents, Wilbur Joslin and Tiny Jorgenson.

Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 10:00 am until 12:00 Noon on Friday, March 17, 2017.

A Celebration of Aimee’s Life will be conducted at 12:00 Noon Friday in the Freeman Chapel. Graveside service and interment will be on the family farm near Tuscumbia, Mo.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Jefferson City Animal Shelter, 2308 Hyde Park Road, Jefferson City, Mo. 65109.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
