Obituary for Irene F. Hager
Mrs. Irene F. Hager, age 85 years, of Henley, Mo., went to her heavenly home Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Summit Villa in Holts Summit, Mo.
Irene was born October 9, 1931 in Henley, Mo. the daughter of Perry and Marcella (Lutrell) Robinett. She was married on April 14, 1951 in Honey Creek, Mo. at Immanuel Lutheran Church to Clarence G. F. Hager who preceded her in death on January 4, 2010.
A lifelong resident of Henley, Clarence and Irene operated a cattle farm for many years. She was a devoted wife, who was always willing to support Clarence in his work. Irene enjoyed cooking food for the people helping on the farm during hay season and loved her time in the garden planting flowers and vegetables.
She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Honey Creek for 66 years. She cherished her church and all the friends she made through the years.
Irene was a homemaker, caregiver, and enjoyed the company of her family, neighbors and friends. She was a caring person who would do anything to help someone in need.
Survivors include: her twin brother, Gene Robinett and his wife Nola of Eldon, Mo.; one sister, Dorlas Bosch and her husband Frank of Henley, Mo.; three sisters-in-law, Mary Robinett of Eldon, Mo., Juanita Grady of Iberia, Mo., and Irma Robinett of Kansas City, Mo.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 58 years, Clarence; five brothers, Lohman Robinett, Glenn Robinett, Gayle Robinett, Owen “Paul” Robinett, and Donald Robinett; and four sisters, Ruby Spalding, Ina Roark, Margie Robinett, and Vernita Roark.
Visitation will be at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Honey Creek from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 10, 2017.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, March 10, 2017 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Honey Creek, Mo. with the Reverend Jeffrey Schanbacher officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 8231 Tanner Bridge Rd., Jefferson City, Mo. 65101 or Calvary Lutheran High School, 2525 Rt. B, Jefferson City, Mo. 65101.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
