William “Butch” Linhart, Jr., age 63 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at his home.
Butch was born July 11, 1953 in Omaha, Nebraska the son of William and Wanda I. Jones Linhart.
He was a resident of Omaha, Nebraska and Jefferson City for most of his life, Butch graduated from Bryan High School in Omaha.
Butch served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict.
He was employed as a meat cutter with the Swifts Packing Company in Omaha until injuries forced his retirement.
Butch enjoyed hunting, fishing, hanging out with his grandson, barbequing, watching horror movies, and listening to music. In his earlier years, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and his cars. Most importantly, he cherished his time with his family.
He was a member of the National Rifle Assn.
Survivors include: two daughters, Billie Jo Linhart of Jefferson City, Mo. and Tabitha R. Veltrop and her husband and his friend Jeff of Jefferson City, Mo.; his former wife Connie; three sisters, Debbie Linhart-Fritz of Omaha, Nebraska, Marilyn McLaufin and her husband Tom of Belleuve, Nebraska, and Judy Christianson and her husband Richard of Omaha, Nebraska; three grandchildren, Ryan William Linhart, Jessie Randall Williams, and Colton Lee Dominguez, all of Jefferson City, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Carl Noren River Access in North Jefferson City, Mo.
