Obituary for Linda S. Larson
Mrs. Linda S. Larson, age 72 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Sunday, February 12, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Linda was born January 9, 1945 in Dawn, Mo. the daughter of Hadley and Dorothea A. Snoderly Price. She was married on September 14, 1967 in Corydon, Iowa to Richard L. Larson.
A resident of the Jefferson City area since 2005, Linda was a 1962 graduate of Southwest High School in Dawn, Missouri.
After high school, Linda was a secretary at Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, and she was an executive secretary for an early fast-food restaurant chain that was based in Kansas City.
Linda spent most of her adult life in Drexel, Missouri, supporting her husband as he served as School Superintendent. Her life was a homemaker with loving care for her family. She had a beautiful, soprano voice and had an engaging, loving personality. She was extremely well-organized. She enjoyed sewing and baking, playing puzzles, and collecting angels. Most importantly, she cherished her time with her children and grandchildren. She was devoted to her husband, Richard.
Survivors include: her husband of forty-nine years, Richard Larson; two children, Kevin P. Larson and his wife Amy of Columbia, Mo. and Krystal Jones and her husband Chris of Bloomington, Indiana; one sister, Deborah Cheves and her husband Terry Parks of Huntington Beach, California; and six grandchildren, Hadley, Melia, and Kylen Larson of Columbia, Mo. and Seth, Leah, and Levi Jones of Bloomington, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John Hadley Price who died as an infant.
Private graveside services and interment will be conducted Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the Corn Cemetery in Oak Grove, Mo.
In lieu of flowers, the family would love for those desiring to consider a donation to the great ministry of Restore Brazil that cares for truly the world’s poorest of the poor.
