Obituary for Janice L. Bushmann
Janice L. Bushmann, age 79 years, of Jefferson City, Mo. passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born June 6, 1937, the daughter of Donlin and Davene (Johnson) Long. She attended public schools in Jefferson City and graduated from the Jefferson City High School in 1955. She graduated from the University of Missouri at Columbia with distinction in English literature, earning an honorary award from the Phi Beta Kappa Society. She was married to Eugene G. Bushman in 1959, who survives at the home in Jefferson City.
She is also survived by her son Michael and his wife Lottie (Rudder) in Columbia, Missouri, her son Paul and his wife Vicki (Page) in Annapolis, Maryland, her daughter Sara and her husband Scott Howell in Blue Hill, Maine, her brother Dr. Donlin Long and his wife Harriet (Kallenbach) in Baltimore, Maryland, as well as nine grandchildren.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be a family gathering in celebration of her life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Planned Parenthood of Missouri.
