Obituary for Donnie Fenton

Donnie  Fenton
Donald C. “Donnie” Fenton, age 52 years, of Holts Summit, Mo., passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 at the University Hospital, Columbia, Mo. surrounded by his loving family.

Donnie was born September 27, 1964 in Jefferson City, Mo. the son of Jim and Barbara (Baker) Fenton.

A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Donnie attended Jefferson City High School.

He had been employed in the maintenance department of Adrian Enterprises and recently with the Warehouse Tire Company. Donnie was a great mechanic and could fix anything with his hands. His lifelong goal was to be a truck driver.

Donnie enjoyed woodworking, listening to country music, and being outdoors hunting and fishing. He had a great sense of humor and loved sharing stories with his family.

Survivors include: one son, Dakota Fenton of Greenfield, Mo.; his father, Jim Fenton of Holts Summit, Mo.; one sister, Donna Kelley (husband Mike); one brother, Darrell Fenton (wife Leigh) of Fulton, Mo.; two nephews, Zach Fenton of Fulton, Mo. and Wyatt Kelley of Troy, Mo.; and his special friend, Linda Asher of Holts Summit, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Baker, on November 10, 2016 and his maternal grandmother, Ruth Baker.

Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 16, 2016.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 16, 2016 in the Freeman Chapel. Graveside services and inurnment will be held at Longview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
