Obituary for Michael A. Winters
Michael A. “Mike” Winters, age 57 years, of New Bloomfield, Mo., died Monday, November 28, 2016 at the Lake Ozark Regional Hospital, Lake Ozark, Mo.
Mike was born September 24, 1959 in Jefferson City, Mo. the son of Gail R. and Barbara A. Davidson Winters.
Mike was a 1978 graduate of Jefferson City High School. Mike had the opportunity to live in a few different states throughout the years including time in Illinois, Colorado, and his beloved California
He was employed with the Todd Blackwell Construction Co. for several years.
Mike enjoyed collecting arrowheads, fishing, and exploring the outdoors. He loved classic rock and roll and challenging everyone to name that tune. Most importantly, he cherished spending time with his family.
Survivors include: his father, Gail Winters of New Bloomfield, Mo.; his fiancée, Veronica Toledo; three daughters, Ilene Palomares of California, Mo., Ashley Palomares of Eudora, Kansas, and Beya Solis of Holts Summit, Mo; two sons, Alex Solis of Eudora, Kansas and Jonathan Solis of Eudora, Kansas; two sisters, Dee Caldwell of Eldon, Mo. and Valerie Reed of New Bloomfield, Mo.; one brother, Roger Winters of Potosi, Mo.; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Winters.
A private celebration of Mike’s life will be conducted at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Summer Robinson Medical Fund as this will help one of his precious granddaughters struggling through some difficult medical issues.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
