Mr. Omer A. Krummen, age 94 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Primrose Retirement Center.
Omer was born August 27, 1922 in Jefferson City, Mo. the son of John H. and Mathilda Hake Krummen. He was married on November 6, 1948 in Schubert, Mo. to Rhadell P. Diedel.
A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Omer attended Immaculate Conception Church School.
He was employed with the Falstaff Beer Distributorship for over twenty-five years. Later, he was employed as an Inspector with the Missouri Dept. of Agriculture for over twenty years until his retirement in 1989.
He was a life long member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Schubert where he was a Trustee and Usher.
Omer enjoyed working around the family farm, hunting, bowling and volunteering at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Survivors include: his wife of sixty-eight years, Rhadell Krummen; two brothers, Delbert Krummen and his wife Lucille of Jefferson City, Mo. and Ralph Krummen and his wife Peggy of Minneapolis, Kansas; one sister, Mary Lou Wekenberg of Linn, Mo.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, David Krummen and James Krummen, and two sisters, Erma Krummen and Venita Koelling.
Visitation will be at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Schubert from 9:30 until 11:00 am Monday, November 14, 2016.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Monday, November 14, 2016 at St. John’s Lutheran Church with the Reverend Gerald Scheperle officiating. Interment will be in the St. John’s Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. John’s Lutheran Church
