Obituary for Samuel Leon Dickerson
Mr. Samuel Leon Dickerson, age 67 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital.
He was born on March 9, 1949 in Harvey, Illinois to Lillian Delaney.
Samuel was employed as a maintenance supervisor with the Manhattan, Illinois public schools.
He enjoyed reading, singing and cooking for family get-togethers.
Samuel is lovingly survived by: three sons, Samuel Dickerson, Jr, Courtney Wilder, and Jamar Riley; three daughters, Estasian “Stacee” Crumb, Erika Dickerson, Aujuzna Simpson, Erinn Dickerson and Amber Brown; one sister, Anita Dickerson; one brother, Kevin Dickerson; fourteen grandchildren, Ebone Dickerson, Antonia Lewis, Tanira Townsend, Alexis Robinson, Sevontez Harris, Myara Robinson, Tywaine Robertson, Demi Robinson, Taquan Dickerson, Sequara Harris, Lillian Mohead, Cortez Wilder, JaShaun Wilder and Honestii Simpson; and a host of step-children, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and two grandchildren, Devonte Crumb and Devron Robinson.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am Sunday, November 6, 2016 in the Freeman Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Samuel Dickerson memorial fund c/o Freeman Mortuary.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
