Obituary for James D. Kaver

James D.  Kaver
Mr. James David “J.D.” Kaver, age 75 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died peacefully, Monday, August 1, 2016 at Capital Region Medical Center surrounded by his family.

He was born April 19, 1941 in Jefferson City, Mo. the son of Joseph and Helen Bescheinen Kaver. On September 28, 1962, J.D. was united in marriage to Sandra G. Carrender.

J.D. served his country for four years in the United States Navy.

He was employed by the Missouri Dept. of Corrections, retiring as a Unit Manager in 1999.

Survivors include: his wife of fifty-four years, Sandra Kaver; one son, Michael W. Kaver (fiancee’ Artina Miller); one daughter, Tiffany G. Kaver (fiance’ Zion Grimes); two grandchildren, Mallory and Michael Kaver; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Charles “Chuck” Kaver, two brothers and four sisters.

Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 5:00 until 7:00 pm Wednesday, August 3, 2016.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am Thursday, August 4, 2016 in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Mark Towns officiating. Graveside services and interment with military honors will be conducted at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Central Missouri Foster Care and Adoption Association, 809 Swifts Highway, Jefferson City, Mo. 65l09

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
