Mr. Rick Huddleston, age 62 years, of Holts Summit, Mo., passed away Friday, July 22, 2016 at his home.
Rick was born November 4, 1953 in Jefferson City, Mo. the son of John “Hud” and Geneva F. (Harrison) Huddleston. He was married on May 21, 1993 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas to Peggy Herrmann.
A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Rick was a 1971 graduate of Jefferson City High School and he attended Lincoln University.
Rick was a Route Supervisor with Aramark Uniforms for thirty years prior to his retirement in May, 2014. After retirement, he worked at Railwood Golf Course.
He was a member of the Capital Crappie Club. Rick enjoyed fishing, golfing, and watching his great-nephew, Justin play football. Most importantly, he cherished time with his family.
Survivors include: his wife of twenty-three years, Peggy Huddleston; one sister, Debbie Berendzen of Jefferson City, Mo.; two sisters-in-law, Diane Herrmann of Jefferson City, Mo. and Rita Herrmann of Harrison, Arkansas; one brother-in-law, Alan Herrmann of Mountain Home, Arkansas; his mother-in-law, Carol Herrmann of Jefferson City, Mo.; eleven nieces and nephews, Jamie Carter (Becky), Chris Carter (Sally Powell), Justin, Hayley, Kyle, Alyssa, and Brenden Carter, Billy and Chris Herrmann, Melanie Surani, and Sharon Jones.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one aunt, Faye Gordon; one brother-in-law, Harry Berendzen; paternal grandparents, John and Dessie Huddleston; father-in-law, Robert Herrmann; and his maternal grandmother, Alice Harrison Stevenson
Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2016.
A private family service will be conducted at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Rick Huddleston Memorial Fund.
