Dennis Apple, pastor, speaker, national conference workshop leader and author of  Life After the Death of My Son and Runaway Griever, describes his personal journey as he was tempted to turn from his faith and leave his calling as a pastor.

“Oh God! This isn’t supposed to happen to me!” These were the words Dennis screamed at God after he found his son Denny, dead on the morning of February 6, 1991. After the funeral, he, along with his wife entered into many years of grief and despair, struggling to find a new normal. Dennis describes his personal journey as he was tempted to turn from his faith and leave his calling as pastor.

In this seminar, Dennis will describe how the loss of a loved one can affect the person or family left behind.  He will also share tips and ideas how a grief-stricken person can help themselves as they attempt to face the future.

Particular attention will be given to:

• How grief affects a person after the loss.
• Respecting grieving differences between men and women.
• How to handle “Grief Bullies.”
• How grief affects your faith.
• Practical tips on how to help yourself heal.
